Grab Hire FAQs

If you heap the material in a pile ready ideally on top of some plywood to prevent any damages to the ground underneath, our driver will pull up alongside the pile and load themselves with their vehicle’s specialised lifting equipment. The whole process normally takes less than 30 minutes.

Our grab lorries are 9ft wide not including the vehicles mirrors, including the mirrors the vehicle requires 11ft clearance and are 29ft in length. We are happy to do a site visit prior free of charge.

Our grab lorries can take 12 tonnes per load.

Our Grab lorries have a reach of 3 metres from either side of the vehicle. They can only pick up waste material from the sides not over the cab or the rear of the vehicle.

If you are ever unsure, the safest thing to do is get it tested first. We can do this for you at a small cost. All we need is a small sample which we can collect from your site. If the waste looks like asbestos, we treat the waste as asbestos unless testing has been carried out to say otherwise.

We can supply you an enclosed lockable skip, however please contact us so we can offer you some advice on how to safely remove and place in our skips.

Yes, a site visit is required for safety reasons.
