Founded by the late John “Butch” Nash, Portland Stone has always been a family-run business. We remain deeply rooted on the Isle of Portland, Dorset, and are proud to employ a dedicated, highly trained team of local drivers, operators, office staff, and waste transfer specialists.
Over the years, we’ve grown from humble beginnings into a trusted, community-focused company, serving clients across the county while staying true to the values instilled by our founder.
An Efficient, Environmentally Responsible Fleet
Our extensive fleet of modern vehicles includes skip loaders, hook loaders, grab lorries, tippers, and articulated vehicles, some with trailers to reduce traffic and maximise efficiency.
We are fully committed to sustainability and the future of our environment. With our state-of-the-art, Waste Recycling Facility, we recycle over 95% of all inbound waste, dramatically reducing landfill usage and helping build a greener future for generations to come.
Weymouth Aggregate Collection Depot
In addition to our Portland base, we operate a dedicated Aggregate Collection Depot in Weymouth. Here, customers can view, purchase, and collect from our wide range of decorative and construction aggregates, along with top-quality landscaping products.
